Just glanced at winterfox's post about dance related imagery in writing whether it be about fighting or sex. Horribly excessive usage, I agree, but something occurred to me, the description of said dance is usually very, very vague. Something like, "...a deadly dance." I would consider soft shoe on the spine of an enraged she-bear while simultaneously sprinkling glitter and happiness to be deadly, but that's probably not what the author intended. (If it was, I'm so reading that book.) Just a thought for 2:00 am.
